I am sorting out some more stuff to give away and lamenting over the end of past lives when the phone rings. It is Dr PG from the Respiratory Department with my biopsy results. Fantastic news! I do not have cancer in my chest cavity. Apparently I do have Sarcoidosis! It is a fairly rare inflammatory condition of the lungs which will require monitoring so I will have to go back to the lung clinic at some point, but for now, all I care about is that it’s not cancer! I share the news with family and friends who are all very happy for me. As Tm puts it Gosh, I bet you’ve never been more glad to have a weird, random inflammation of the lymph nodes in your lungs!

This news is more than I could ever hope for and I am ecstatic! It means I have a fighting chance. Look out Betty – I’m coming to get you!
