So far I have not noticed any adverse effects from the Letrozole. What I have noticed are some post Chemo improvements. I still have a little reflux, but no nausea which is great. I’m taking almost no painkillers other than Paracetamol and I’m coping well. Without the Gabapentin and the Oxy’s I am no longer having the tremors in my hands. My brain seems to be functioning a little better as well. I have a book of easy cryptic crosswords that I’ve had since back surgery that I’m attempting. I’m slow and the clues are incredibly frustrating but when I get one I get quite excited.

We spend most of our time at camp just relaxing – we take long, slow walks on the beach or we just chill at the campsite, reading or playing chess. I enjoy simply being present.

Happy to be here. Look at that range of motion – 9 weeks post-surgery!

There is plenty to be entertained by. There are quail everywhere. It’s a bit too early to see tribes of baby quail running around, but the adults are all paired up for mating season. The males with their fascinators are very funny. They are all puffed up to make themselves as attractive as possible – look at me, I am strong – I will protect you and provide you with many offspring!

I watch a sparrow flutter in the taller grasses to knock the seeds down to the ground so he can eat them. I  see gannet diving in the sea for fish, I see a pair of oystercatchers splitting up with the male acting as decoy to protect the female, I watch the waves and listen to the surf. And at night, the stars, oh the stars – so incredible!

It is wonderful to be at the beach, just taking the time to observe the world around me.

The Sounds of the Ocean Soothe my Soul. This is my happy place.
