We have an abundance of lemons so I decide to make a lemon slice. Susannah gets the Kitchenaid mixer out for me so I don’t have to lift it and the mixer does most of the work. I go slow and manage to follow the recipe fairly well. I find I can’t squeeze lemons with our hand squeezer so she also does that for me. My slice turns out to be very tart and yummy. There is a fair amount of sugar in it but I’m not worried about that at the moment. For now my focus is on rest, recovery, and gaining a bit of weight and strength for what follows. I’ll get back to my low sugar regime when I go back on chemo.
Susannah spends the weekend putting together an outdoor furniture set. They are Adirondack chairs (Muskuoka in Canada) and I love them. They remind me so much of summer in my other home, Vancouver.
We watch the Women’s World Cup Final. Spain wins which is awesome. During the evening I suddenly start to get intense pain in the top of my breast area and under my armpit. It’s excruciating and pain pills don’t seem to have an effect. I try THC oil. I wonder if I will be able to sleep.
