Today is my sister K’s birthday. Happy Birthday, big sis! C finally tests negative and comes over to try to finish the sanding and painting jobs she was doing for Mum. As she is still here in the early evening, we all go over to K’s after she’s finished work to wish her a Happy Birthday and to pass on cards and presents. 

Over the last few months I have been searching and searching for a gift for both of my sisters. I finally found some hand carved stone Triquetra pendants in the UK that I really liked. The Triquetra, or Celtic Trinity Knot has been used throughout history to represent various concepts of threefold unity. One interpretation is the sisterhood and this I decided to choose these to mark our relationship. I bought a different coloured one for each of my sisters, as a symbol of our sisterly bond. As it’s K’s birthday today and C’s next week, I give both gifts tonight. I think they really like them and understand where I was coming from, although the question was asked why didn’t I buy a third one for myself? Umm, yeah, I think I started looking online at about the time of my latest scan so perhaps my frame of mind wasn’t so positive. Might look to remedy that.
