We wake to a nice cold morning. We decide to assemble our Chowhouse Shelter (a great Canadian floorless tent that we shipped down to NZ when we moved) to give us more living space and then we go for a walk across the footbridge into town. We explore the little village and then head back to camp. We eat and then go for another, longer walk along the beach which is mostly empty. The surf part is a fairly long way away as the campground is on a peninsula with calm water on most sides. This walk completely tires me out and I am incapable of much else. It’s a lovely relaxing day and I feel a lot less stressed.
