Radical Remission is now talking about attitude. Now, here is a chapter I can get into. The book talks about the Survivor’s attitude towards their disease, their unwillingness to accept that they were going to die. Although the book doesn’t go as far as saying that if you don’t accept that you are going to die then you won’t (that would be ridiculous!), it does suggest that your outcome can be influenced by your attitude and/or mood. With all the emotional turmoil I have waded through since diagnosis, I can relate to this. I decide to be more proactive about my mental health. I begin by downloading Andrew Johnson’s guided meditations and listen to Visualise Healing. It actually helps and I feel much better about my chemo. Less worried.
Susannah has been using Andrew Johnson apps for years now and really likes them. I used the sleep ones for awhile when we lived in Canada as well. Time to start again to see if his lovely Scottish voice can help me. The description on his site says his soft Scottish accent is loved around the world and his voice has been described to be as smooth as a Single Malt. I’d have to agree.
